Slide Lectures for Quilters:

Finding Your Own Signature in Quilting, Part 1

Join Phil Beaver for an hour slide lecture as he takes you back to an earlier time.  You'll  hear how chapters of his life became quilts that began with childhood and followed through to his present role of  Sylbie's grandfather.

This lecture is especially geared for quilters with a desire to break away from others' patterns, and design pieces that are uniquely their own.  Even those who are certain they can't draw or create their own designs will learn ways to solve that problem and move on to other levels of quilting that will individualize their work.

Phil will cover information that will open techniques and ideas to "finding your own signature in quilting."   The hour will also include limited discussion of Phil's fabric painting styles.

Finding Your Own Signature in Quilting, Part 2

This one hour lecture is a close follow-up to Part I, however, it can also stand alone without Part I as a prerequisite.

It is filled with human interest bits and stories, but the main emphasis is a discussion of  how design elements are successfully rendered through the manipulation of design principals in Phil Beaver quilts.
