I rarely buy a beaver figurine for my private collection, but many friends travel the world, and often when they return, my gift from them and their travels is a beaver. I've collected them since 1956, they number about 150, and they're from many countries. Most are made from silver, bronze, brass, pewter, ceramic, glass, wood, and one is cast from a gold-like alloy.
